Founder + story
I’m Brittany “Heaven” Harper.
Baltimore raised. Pastor. Strategist. Teacher. Writer. And someone who has spent a lot of time thinking about the distance between what we say we believe and the way we actually live.
Where it began
My body interrupted the plan.
Black Girl Alchemy grew from a personal season of disruption, healing, and reorientation after an unexpected battle with fibroids. Recovery made the questions impossible to ignore: What had I been surviving? What did my body know before I was willing to listen? What would it mean to build a life that did not require me to abandon myself to sustain it?
What began as my own search for healing became a deeper practice of transformation and transmutation. I began bringing together the worlds I had always lived between: church and consciousness, strategy and spirituality, research and intuition, prayer and practice.

I did not want to collect more information. I wanted my life to change.
Black Girl Alchemy became the place where I could learn out loud, practice what I was studying, and invite other people into experiences that made transformation tangible.
So we hike. We meditate. We read. We travel. We gather in gardens, fields, parks, rooms, and online spaces. We build frameworks, resources, and rituals. We tell the truth about what we are living. Then we practice the next choice together.
The mission
Turn lived experience into embodied wisdom.
Black Girl Alchemy creates culturally grounded teaching, tools, community, and immersive experiences that help Black women and our wider community move from understanding transformation to living it.
